Q: Rn (Nurses)?
i am doing a research paper and i am looking for information on Rn's and what they do and what is intresting about being one. please list any information and sites if you can help!!
Thanx
A: RNs (Registered Nurses) provide support to doctors and hospitals in basic patient care. They typically may take temperatures, measure blood pressure and pulse rate, ask the patient what their symptoms are, monitor patients' condition in a hospital, give injections or draw bood and so forth. This frees up doctors and other specialists from these tasks so they can concentrate on analyzing the information to determine the problem. Someone might typically enter the field because they wish to work in the medical care area but don't the the skills or temperment to take the intense regimen of schooling necessary to become a doctor or surgeon. It's also a field that is seriously understaffed, frequently commanding good pay and significant sign-on bonuses in some areas of the country.
Q: who gets paid more out of rn nurses and other types of nurses?
i wanted to go into the nursing feild but i just wanted to know what type of nurses get paid more. SO let me know
A: I'd say nurse practitioners because they can write scripts, which means more education. Just a guess though.

CRNA - certified registered nurse anesthetist - six years of school and nursing experience - Starting over $100k/year

Q: Are the nurses that help deliver babies different from regular nurses (RN not RPN)?
I'm going into nursing (RN not RPN) and I want to help the doctors that deliver babies. What is that hurse called? Are they different than RNs? Do they have to have additional education? Can anyone share all their knowledge on this?
A: You would go to school to be an RN, but when looking for a job you would want to apply to the Labor and Delivery Ward for a job. Thats all.
My cousin is an RN, currently head RN at a pediatricians office, but when she first started to work she was a labor&delivery nurse at a local hospital. Honestly she just didn't care for the 12 hours shifts, and after awhile found a different job.
Q: Can Rn Nurses open up their own practices for minor problems??
I am just curious can Rn Nurses open up their own practices ?? or is this only a doctor??
A: No, RNs can't open private practices.
"ugaprincess91" is not a doctor and her comment was offensive and untrue.

Q: RN Nurses? How much do they make?
I was curious to know how much RN Nurses make on a average? Whata re the pros and cons of the jobs available in that feild? Hospital vs Dr. Office? I am considering going back to school to be a RN. Thanks for your answers and time!!
A: money can depend on which part of the country you practice. the south pays the least, out west (cali, oregon, washington state the best). with the shortage money is improving but working conditions not so much. out west is most progressive. i work in the DC area and they are as behind as the south. hospitals pay better but you earn every cent. you have a lot of options once you get some experience under your belt and could travel. me i'm looking to leave the profession after 18 years. it's exhausting and i've worked in the hospital setting the entire time. make sure you take a degree program for better options and room for advancement and get at least a year of med-surg under you before advancing to a specialty. All the best!!

Can you get all that if your a nurse? Is the job worth it for that...This is for nurses or if you knwo anybody that is a nurse..thankx
A: I worked in a hospital and knew a lot of nurses. One day my friend who was a nurse called the unit and asked me to open her pay voucher and tell her how much she had made. I about choked, I had no idea how much money that nurses actually made, It was unbelievable. I kidded her for a few days about being rich, and it kind of embarrassed her, she knew I made a lot less. They make a lot of money, but really, they don't even get paid enough for the work that they do. Most of them work like dogs in hospitals that are terribly understaffed. They deserve every penny that they get and they work their a$$es off for it.
Q: Where do RN nurses work at?
Generally.
what type of nurses work in hospitals?
A: rn is registered nurses, in hospitals they are usually administering medicineto patients or assisting in the emergency room etc.
